Now I have another question about Emailaces and our Empowerism leads, so here goes.

In the autoresponder set-up area it ask this question, "- Yes, use confirmed opt-in for the prospect import method."

My question is, if the leads from Empowerism are opt-in leads, Why should we have them opt-in again? Especially when there is a remove me link on each letter.

I do understand that if they opt-in a second time they could be real hot prospects. But I uploaded 100 leads 3 days ago and only 2 have opted for further information.

So, is it YES or No to the double opt-in

I did "No" to double opt-in.
Also I have been told not to upload more than 50 per day.
I think it says you can load up to 200 but the spam complaints could deactivate your acount.

But 2 out of 100 is pretty good for this type of advertising. I would think the 2 are real hot leads.

After letting my eyes rest over night, I went back to the pdf and found the answer. Again I was using the visual image instead of reading every word.

In the pdf it says to UNCHECK each box.

I do believe that in some types of opt-ins you may want to use double opt-in. It's better to be safe than sorry!

I figured that the Empowerism leads are pretty safe.

Now I am waiting to hear from Emailaces about how I can get the other 98 leads back in the que.

The whole reason for Emailaces vs aweber or getresponse is that they offer a choice not to have a double opt-in.

Most people will not bother to optin twice thus loosing a whole lot of leads.

However the good side is that anyone that did is really interested.

I received this message back this AM :

" I'm sorry, but once a prospect has received a double
optin confirmation message, they can not be re-added
to the system unless they confirm, of their own free
will."

What ever the reason for the mistake, on my part, You need to very carefully read the instruction from Email Aces and the pdf file, You could lose 98 % of your leads as I did.

From pdf File: HowToUseYourEmpowerismLeads.pdf

" Next, goto Autoresponder Options.
Uncheck: (This is the important part. Make sure to UNCHECK these 3 options )

- Yes, use confirmed opt-in for the email subscribe method.

- Yes, use confirmed opt-in for the form subscribe method.

- Yes, use confirmed opt-in for the prospect import method.

PS, Understand that once you ask someone if they want to opt-in and you don't get a reply. It would be BIG TIME SPAM if you started emailing them anyway. My mistake My loss
