Hi Johan,

I was going well following your instructions for importing my empowerism leads into Emailaces.

When I clicked on "Import leads" the response I got was the following:

The Problem: "Import has stopped because there was an error at or near line 19. This line contains no Email Address data. "

I tried this several times with no success.
I selected " DO NOT IMPORT THIS FIELD" from 4 down to 19 but that made no difference.

Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

PS: Also, Johan, I know you are busy but could you respond to the question of whether I can or can't import PIPS into Emailaces....Thks. G.Coaster

I'm not too sure, but many members had the problem of converting the txt files to .cvs files.

I haven't been a PIPs member for a while but I don't see why it would matter if you use emailaces or getresponse except Pips promotes GR and when others sign up for it you won't receive any credit for it.

At least this is how I remember it.

It's been 4 years so it may have changed.

Yes, I can see it is a text file. How do I change it to a cvs file.

Please send me the file to johan at empowerism.net and I'll have a look at it. It's probably a line with a bad formatted email address.

Regarding PIPS, please let me know what you'd like to do. Do you want to use the PIPS letters with Email aces? If so, you'll have to copy and paste them into email aces.

Hi Johan,
Here is the Empowerism lead file as you requested.

I'm not sure what to do with PIPS. My funds are limited at the moment and I can't run Emailaces and Getresourse at this time. I would appreciate your recommendation. I can probably cut and paste the letters across to Emailaces but I will be guided by your opinion.

I am having the same trouble with this months leads...line 19 again.

How can I overcome this?

There seems to be a consistant problem with importing these leads to Emailaces. I'm haning the same trouble as Gold Coaster and others.

I even cut the leads down to 10 lines and still got the same error. 3 hours later I'm a little tired.

Johan can you save the day???

I received a reply from Emailaces this morning about my problem.

"The error message your getting indicates that your
file isn't properly formatted. Be sure that all of
your fields are properly aligned, the best way is
to open in Excel, then export as tab delimited."

This creates another problem, "I do not have Excel", now what can I do???

Thanks Michael for offering your advice, which I did try, without success. But after 1 & a Half days I finally figured out the problem.

Use the picture as a reference, but read the words!

Meaning, In the "How To Import Empowerism Leads In _ AR.pdf" shown in earlier post the picture shows the email address and beside it, it says IP address strongly recommended or word to that effect. Well if you look at the picture and do that, you knock out the email address's!

Maybe my stupidity will Help someone down the road.

I do believe that in instructions for Easy Aces is a little vague. Which leads me to my next question.

Now that my leads are uploaded, how do I start them?

I did find a section showing Broadcast a Message, with a broadcast date of tomorrow. But didn't clearly let me know if that was the start date for my campaign. I was in a section showing special broadcast I thought.

Good catch, RLo! I hadn't noticed it. I'll make a new screenshot and edit the PDF ASAP.

Have you imported the messages as per the instructions PDF? If so, you leads will start receiving the follow-up messages!

Yes the emails have been uploaded, I ran 2 test run on them this afternoon. One to my gmail address and one to my iglide address. Which created 4 more questions.

1. At the gmail address I had one letter come in with a Hot link at the bottom of the page to empowerism.com/e/217778, that's not my web site. Email subject "Benefits of Being an Affiliate Marketer". It didn't do that on the iglide address. No hot link found.

2. At both email address I had a hot link at the top of the page that said

"You're just seconds away from online success!
Get your tools and support at Empowerism.

Click here" this link went to http://www.emailaces.com/login.php

Email subject was "Empowerism according to Ewan..."

3. I don't remember putting my Empowerism web address in to Emailaces anywhere so how will they know it? BTW it's www.empowerism.com/e/178

4. How can I ad myself into the system so I can get the actual emails that my prospects are getting? Not dummy emails.


I guess you'll get tired of me by the time I get my post into the hundreds.
